PVAMU Ambassador Update

Hello, all! The winners have been decided for the HistoryMakers Digital Archive 2023 Black History Month Contest.

In first place is Chania Malloy who chose HistoryMaker Dr. Donna Mendes; she explored the life of this phenomenal vascular surgeon and medical professor.

Second is Alexis Toure who chose HistoryMaker Ann Maria Williams, an inspiring and gifted professional dancer.

Alexis Toure showcases her HistoryMakers accomplishments accompanied by the art she created.

And last but not least was Tyrell Oliver. He did his project on Jackie Robinson, showcasing his life with information from others interviews.

With all the winners in place, Dr. Moore and I are now planning an award ceremony to honor the participants. It is still a rough sketch of an idea but we will soon get things in motion. I will also take this as an opportunity to outreach and show the beauty and opportunity that comes from engaging in the HistoryMakers Digital Archive.

More to come soon!
